A Chicago based proprietary trading firm has developed a platform to implement quantitative trading strategies across a range of financial products. Their bread and butter lies in the fixed income space where they are looking to bring on a Jr. Quantitative Trader who can help bring new perspectives to the team. Along with being at the top of the industry in terms of performance and team members, they offer a highly competitive compensation structure. You will be working directly with the trading team executing trades and performing alpha research optimizing the existing strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with senior traders and researchers to run and execute strategies
- Help find new ways to consistently improve existing strategies
- Have a hand in alpha research, helping to deliver new signals that capitalize on market inefficiencies
- Design, develop, and implement new tools for yourself and other traders
Qualifications:
- B.S.+ in quantitative field (Math/Stats/Comp Sci, etc.)
- 1+ YOE in the systematic trading space
- Strong academic background in statistics is a plus
- Highly proficient in Python/C++
