The ideal candidate for the Manager position will have strong leadership experience and a proven track record with MG ALFA. The Associate Actuary role requires someone with expertise in actuarial modeling and valuation, and both positions call for individuals who can hit the ground running.
Responsibillites:
- Enhance and maintain actuarial models for STAT (Cash Flow Testing, PBR) reporting, Embedded Value, Business Planning, and GAAP (LDTI)
- Streamline and automate legacy model processes to increase efficiency
- Develop and implement modeling standards, best practices, and comprehensive documentation
- Support strategic ad-hoc projects such as in-force management, actuarial due diligence, regulatory testing, and model validation
- Contribute to future-state modeling platform strategies and model conversions
Job Qualifications:
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) with at least 5 years of actuarial experience in modeling and/or valuation
- MG ALFA experience preferred, or the ability to quickly master it based on similar asset-liability cash flow modeling platforms
- Familiarity with US Statutory accounting (incl. PBR) and US GAAP accounting (incl. LDTI) across life and annuity products is a plus
- Strong business partnering and communication skills
- A passion for automation and improving processes with a focus on user-friendliness
- A proactive mindset with the ability to manage projects independently and effectively
- SQL and R/Python proficiency strongly preferred
