A private equity firm, committed to long-term value creation through diverse global investment strategies, is introducing a new position. The Associate, Global Portfolio Analytics, will play a pivotal role in supporting the comprehensive reporting of investment outcomes across portfolios. The primary objective is to provide our executive leadership team and other stakeholders with a holistic perspective on global investment performance.
Situated within the group finance department's global portfolio analytics function, this role will report directly to the Director of Global Portfolio Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in the quarterly valuation of portfolio companies using methods such as DCF, public company multiples, and precedent transaction multiples.
- Work with the company's different portfolios, including middle market, venture, and their oil and gas fund.
- Compute performance return metrics (TWR, IRR, MOIC, etc.) for private capital portfolios.
- Collaborate with internal financial teams for data gathering and analysis, and liaise with external valuation firms.
- Provide ad hoc support for various valuation and investment performance-related requests.
- Offer valuation-related support to the enterprise FP&A during the AOP and multi-year planning process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in banking, private equity, consulting, or venture capital.
- Equity valuation experience
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling.
- CFA or CIPM designation, or progress in one of these programs, would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in preparing executive-level deliverables
- Strong and polished communication skills.
