A hedge fund is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to be a key player in transforming the firm's automation strategy, design, and implementation, making a lasting impact on the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of software manufacturing lines using Terraform and Puppet
- Enhance developer experience and standardization with tools like GitHub and Internal Developer Platform
- Shape and advocate for the firm's DevOps strategy using Jenkins, TeamCity, and Octopus
- Champion DevOps best practices with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Stay at the forefront of automation and DevOps trends, utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, and Amazon CloudWatch
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across AWS and Azure environments
- Develop and optimize code for infrastructure and application deployment using Python and Bash
- Participate in on-call rotation, ensuring system reliability and performance
- Support Kubernetes container platform operations, including Nexus and Harbor for artifact management
Requirements:
- 3-7+ years of experience in automation pipelines, monitoring solutions, and infrastructure as code
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of CI/CD tools, configuration management tools, source control systems, automation scripting, and monitoring deployment
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, distributed systems, and networking concepts
