We are assisting a leading investment management company with their search for an Anti-Financial Crime Compliance Officer. Based in the London office, this officer will execute and enhance the Anti-Financial Crime Compliance program.
The Role:
- Develop and maintain AML and AFC policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Implement and communicate these policies throughout the organization, providing training and guidance to employees as needed.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential financial crime risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.
- Oversee transaction monitoring systems to detect and investigate suspicious activities.
- Escalate and report unusual transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct due diligence on new and existing clients, business partners, and vendors to ensure compliance with AML regulations.
- Maintain updated records and documentation on due diligence efforts.
- Train employees on AML and AFC policies, procedures, and regulations.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial crime compliance, AML, or AFC.
- Thorough understanding of AML and AFC laws and regulations in the UK and internationally.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing AML and AFC programs.
