My client is a consulting firm that provides a range of services to the insurance industry, specializing in areas such as actuarial analysis, underwriting, and product development. The company works with various stakeholders, including insurance carriers and reinsurers, to improve operational performance and navigate industry challenges. Serving a broad spectrum of insurance markets, the firm is known for delivering customized strategies to meet the unique needs of its clients.
As a Consulting Actuary, you'll be responsible for leading actuarial and multi-disciplinary consulting projects, serving insurance companies, self-insureds, program managers, and Insurtechs. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the completion of rate level indications, class plan analyses, competitive research, and benchmarking analyses.
- Providing rate/rule filing support, reserve analyses, and self-insured retention funding studies.
- Performing peer reviews and ensuring quality assurance on actuarial analyses conducted by other consultants.
- Presenting competitive information in a meaningful format and preparing creative supporting exhibits for rate/rule filings.
- Developing and preparing polished, professional reports to present findings clearly to clients.
- Offering recommendations and solutions to clients based on your actuarial expertise.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- 6+ years of experience as an actuary in the Property/Casualty industry, including commercial lines and/or Workers' Compensation experience.
- ACAS or FCAS credentials (required).
- Excellent communication skills: both oral and written, with the ability to present complex actuarial data to a wide range of audiences.
