Our client is looking for a motivated individual to join their Risk Team as a Credit Risk Specialist. This role involves supporting risk management activities across the organization, including structuring, underwriting, and conducting due diligence on new investments, as well as monitoring existing portfolios. The individual will report analytics to the Investment Committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review investment reports to identify risks
- Conduct risk assessments and monitoring
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholder reporting
- Assist with rating agency reviews
- Interact with portfolio companies for underwriting, due diligence, and monitoring (some travel may be required)
- Oversee investment analysis and valuation
- Facilitate third-party analysis for insights
Requirements:
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in risk management, structured credit, securitization, asset-backed lending, or related areas
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- Strong communication and Microsoft Excel skills
- Financial modeling and data analysis skills (Excel, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, PowerBI, Python) are a plus
