Special Situations Investment Associate
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our investment team, focusing on special situations with a blend of new deal underwriting and portfolio workout restructuring. This role offers the opportunity to engage in high-impact investment decisions while managing complex portfolio dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Workout Process Management: Play a critical role in managing the workout process for existing investments, including scenario analysis, recovery analysis, and legal documentation.
- Investment Analysis & Recommendation: Prepare detailed workout approval memos and financial models, and present investment recommendations to the investment committee.
- Portfolio Oversight: Lead portfolio monitoring, amendment, and restructuring activities, producing comprehensive analyses and reports for assigned investments.
- Strategic Research: Execute and oversee research projects to inform strategic decision-making within the investment framework.
- Process Improvement: Enhance the investment process by adopting and utilizing new systems and tools.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with general partners, portfolio company leadership, and other key stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth funding processes and address any trade operations issues, ensuring data is implemented effectively.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development.
