Director of Fundraising - Real Estate Debt Fund

With a focused strategy to deliver compelling returns, they are launching a £250 million real estate debt fund targeting high-yield opportunities in London. Backed by a lean and efficient structure, the firm is looking for a seasoned professional to take a pivotal leadership role in fundraising and client relationship management.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Fundraising to spearhead capital-raising efforts for a new real estate debt fund. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a founder-led business and play a critical role in growing the firm. Working directly with the founding partners, you will lead fundraising activities, establish relationships with institutional investors across the UK and EU, and position the fund as a leader in high-yield real estate debt investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a fundraising strategy targeting institutional clients (pension funds, insurers, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds) in the UK and EU.
- Build and nurture long-term investor relationships, showcasing a deep understanding of real estate equity and debt markets.
- Communicate the fund's value proposition effectively, including the ability to deliver 12-13% returns and recapitalization opportunities.
- Operate autonomously to structure fundraising campaigns, ensuring alignment with the firm's growth and investment objectives.
- Collaborate with the founding partners to identify market opportunities and refine investment strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in real estate equity and debt fundraising, ideally within an institutional client-facing role.
- Proven track record of raising capital from institutional investors in the UK and EU.
- Strong knowledge of real estate finance, particularly development finance debt structures.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and lead fundraising initiatives independently.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with an established network of institutional investors.
