We are looking for an FX Application Support Specialist for our client, who is a fast-growing FX Options Trading FinTech firm headquartered in New York.
The role will focus on providing support for the trading platform, troubleshooting and acting as a primary point of contact for traders and platform users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support for our FX trading platform, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistance.
- Act as a primary point of contact for traders and other end users, addressing their technical queries and concerns promptly and effectively in a timely manner.
- Prioritizes User requests based on their urgency, their criticality, and their context. Escalates issues, if need be, but remains the main point of contact for the user
- Investigate and diagnose software and hardware issues, escalating complex problems to senior IT staff or vendors when necessary and pushes for resolution including workaround identification.
- Ensure adequate and efficient communications toward users, senior management, and other IT stakeholders during incident management process (major or minor).
- Ensure Daily support tasks, sanity checks are performed (morning, evening) and on-calls duty.
- Implement changes to meet business needs and improve end user services, collaborate with the IT team to deploy, configure, and maintain the FX trading applications and associated infrastructure.

Requirements:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Excellent written and oral English skills to articulate technical issues and enable effective communication with colleagues and business users. Ability to communicate in other regional languages will be an added advantage
- Proven experience in a similar role in enterprise IT environments, providing application support for financial systems
- Knowledgeable in FX trading concepts and terminology including currency pairs, spot, forwards, options, and market conventions.
- Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Windows applications.
- Proficient in SQL Server database querying.
- Experience in scripting languages, Python (for troubleshooting).
- Familiarity with Swift messaging, FIX protocol and FIX trading applications.
