Selby Jennings has partnered with a leading hedge fund manager in Hong Kong with over a decade of track record. The firm is currently seeking a Global Equities Execution Trader to join the team. The firm trades across Greater China, Japan, Korea, India and US with a focus on equities. The candidate will also be actively involved in the sourcing of ECM block deals with the Head Trader.
Responsibilities
- Execute trades globally for Portfolio Managers cross asset class (equities, options, index futures, FX, FX forward, bonds, etc)
- Track and evaluate stock/fund performance
- Conduct Macro Analysis and and actively partake in portfolio risk management
- Investigate new asset class, technical system, ideas, etc.
- Conduct research for ECM related activies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Economics or related disciplines
- 5+ years of execution trading/risk trading experience on sell/buyside
- Fluency in Mandarin (verbal and written) is required
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial modeling and financial statements
- Ability to communicate effectively and express complex ideas succinctly
- Willingness to trade US market hours for 5 days/month
