Selby Jennings is partnering with a Family Office in the Southern California area looking for an Investment Banking Associate/Vice President to join their Investment Management. This Family Office is looking for an motivated individual to work on global investments and internaitonal portfolio management, working closely with deal teams, C-Suites, and others.
Ideal candidates come from Investment Banking or Private Equity backgrounds, with a mix of Debt and M&A experience coming from coverage and/or product groups.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA) or CFA/CPA designation is often preferred.
- Experience: 3-8 years in Investment Banking or Private Equity, ideally with experience in with private clients and Debt Capital Markets and/or M&A.
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, investment strategies, and risk management techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, portfolio analysis, and investment due diligence.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance, and tax considerations for high-net-worth families.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to manage family relationships and coordinate with external partners and advisors.
