Responsibilities:
- Python and R Development - write efficient code from scratch; implement statistical models & data visualization techniques effectively.
- Extract Transform Load (ETL) - You should have worked previously on ETL based projects which includes collecting large amounts of unstructured raw data from various sources and transforming it into structured datasets suitable for analysis by researchers
-Data Gathering - Experience gathering financial market data through APIs or web scraping tools
-Live/Historical Analytical Reports - Ability To build analytical reports both historical/live reflecting key performance indicators relevant within this domain
- Technical Libraries - stay on top of state of the art tech tools including technical libraries and computing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/ Mathematics/Physics or a STEM field
- 3 to 5 years of experience programming in R or Python (KDB is a plus)
- Strong knowledge with Linux operating system (ex. shell and command line tools)
- Experience building out quantitative tools for research
