Position Overview:
The Senior Cloud Engineer, part of the Global Infrastructure team, will report to the Director of Cloud Operations. This role will collaborate with IT teams to support cloud transformation and business unit needs across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the enterprise cloud strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Manage and evolve AWS architecture to support growth and IT service delivery.
- Assist in migrating applications to cloud infrastructure and ensure they meet business requirements.
- Support the adoption of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Provide engineering expertise to deliver cloud project initiatives.
- Drive continual service improvements in cloud service delivery.
- Implement internal systems and best practices to enhance team productivity.
- Participate in architecture discussions ensuring security, cost-effectiveness, and availability.
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Automate infrastructure using code and ensure optimal performance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years with AWS (Azure experience a plus).
- Proficiency in AWS services (Control Tower, IAM, EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.).
- Experience with Windows and Linux management.
- Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell; Golang a plus).
- Familiar with orchestration tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and policy automation.
- Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, ELK, Grafana).
- Exposure to DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of global networking and zero-trust security practices.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
