Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter. The ideal candidate will bring extensive underwriting experience and strong agency relationships in the Georgia market. In this role, you'll manage pricing and underwriting for a designated territory while working closely with agents to achieve production and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite commercial property and casualty business with a focus on profitability and risk management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and company policies.
- Analyze business opportunities, determine appropriate pricing, and assess risk.
- Contribute to acquiring and retaining profitable commercial lines customers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (relevant work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis).
- At least 4 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
- Advanced knowledge of P&C insurance forms and rating rules.
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles and loss control strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
