Key Responsibilities
- Establish and shape our presence in the E&S lines market.
- Quote and release new E&S business referred by underwriting algorithms or exceeding user authority thresholds.
- Analyze and approve policy changes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Stay updated with E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules within your territory.
- Maintain open, transparent communication with team members and partners.
- Monitor E&S portfolio via reports, audits, and inspections.
- Support marketing efforts to promote Honeycomb.
- Complete special projects and assignments.
- Travel as necessary (<10%).
Basic Requirements
- 5+ years of E&S underwriting/insurance experience (habitational experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of E&S insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.
- Retail agency relationship preferred.
- Curiosity, hardworking, self-accountable, positive attitude, humble, and fun.
- Open to sharing and receiving opinions.
- Passion for acquiring, retaining, and sharing knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Must be located in the Midwest, preferably Chicago, IL.
