Your Tasks:
The position is within the Wholesale Credit Approval team based in Paris.
- Lead the Credit team (4 people) for the TMT, Healthcare, Chemicals, and Services sectors.
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 counterparties, primarily in the TMT sector.
- Review and approve credit requests to protect the group's capital and reputation while supporting growth.
- Serve as the main contact for Wholesale credit risk, manage problematic exposures, and disseminate processes and policies.
- Be the Credit contact for several branches and participate in their supervision.
- Engage in regional projects related to Wholesale credit risk.
Responsibilities / Expected Outcomes:
- Ensure the quality and speed of credit decisions while ensuring they are well understood by applicants.
- Represent the Credit Department in relevant committees.
- Foster effective collaboration with Credit Risk teams, the Front Office, and Support Functions.
- Implement and maintain policies related to large corporate clients of GB/CMB, balancing risk management and growth objectives.
- Contribute to the adaptation of processes in response to new regulatory constraints.
What Success Looks Like:
- Establish regular communication with CMB GB managers/RMs to align strategic objectives and ensure credit requests comply with risk policies.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of organizational changes and processes to improve efficiency while adhering to the Group/HBEU model.
- Ensure prompt responses to business units while meeting SLAs and specific needs.
- Assist in the team's development within a complex risk environment.
Your Profile:
- Strong academic qualifications in financial analysis; University degree. MBA / CFA / CPA is a significant plus.
- Experience in Corporate Credit Risk Management: 5 years of experience in the GBM/LC coverage team or in the credit department.
- Desirable technical experience (Microsoft applications).
- Fluent in English; French is also an advantage.
- Critical and logical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
