A private equity firm with over $15 billion in capital commitments, is seeking an experienced Vice President of institutional capital raising. This role is crucial for driving the firm's fundraising efforts and building relationships with institutional investors. This individual will work closely with the MD, and Head of IR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to raise capital from institutional investors (pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices).
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at institutional investor firms.
- Manage the full fundraising lifecycle, from identifying potential investors to closing capital commitments.
- Provide updates to investors on fund performance and market trends.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Maintain detailed records of investor interactions and fundraising activities.
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate with internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in institutional investor relations or capital raising, preferably in private equity, asset management, or investment banking.
- Proven track record of raising capital from institutional investors.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with deep market insight and a collaborative mindset.
